amoxibron 500 mg

Each film-coated tablet of Amoxicillin/Clavulanic Acid Sandoz 500 mg/125 mg contains 500 mg amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 125 mg clavulanic acid (as clavulanate potassium).

Each ml of reconstituted suspension of Amoxicillin/Clavulanic Acid Sandoz 250 mg/62.5 mg/5 ml powder for oral suspension contains 50 mg amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 12.5 mg clavulanic acid (as clavulanate potassium).

The use of alternative presentations of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (e.g., those providing higher doses of amoxicillin and/or different ratios of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid) may be considered necessary (see sections 4.4 and 5.1).

The duration of treatment should be determined based on the patient’s response. Some infections (e.g. osteomyelitis) may require longer treatment periods. The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days without a review (see section 4.4).

Amoxibron pediatrico para que sirve 2022

Many times we come home from the doctor or emergency room, and we do not know how much of the prescribed antibiotic we have to give to the little one… we unroll the leaflet in the form of parchment and …. horror, this is impossible to understand!!!! Let’s give you a hand, ok?

Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is very effective against infections caused by a wide range of bacteria, but it has a weakness. There are bacteria that generate enzymes called Betalactamases that have an affinity for a part of the structure of amoxicillin, causing a decrease in its pharmacological action. This is known as bacterial resistance to the action of amoxicillin due to the action of beta-lactamases.

Clavulanic acid decreases or inhibits the action of these enzymes, acting as a kamikaze that is recognized by these enzymes, they interact and as a result of this interaction the enzyme is inactivated, leaving the way free for amoxicillin to exert its action, therefore, rather than enhancing amoxicillin, what it does is to eliminate this possible resistance to the antibiotic.
