Event Guide
Historic La Jolla, California has long been the destination for the finer things in life. Breathtaking coastlines, exceptional cuisine, elegant homes, exquisite shopping and of course fine automobiles have been staples in this luxurious locale since the 1880s. La Jolla Historical Society will pay tribute to some of the world's finest automobiles on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 9:00 am to 3:00 PM at the 6th Annual La Jolla Motor Car Classic, at the beautiful La Jolla Cove.
Over the past six years, the La Jolla Motor Car Classic has paid tribute to Horseless Carriages, Italian marques, British marques, Woodies and 50's Classics. The featured marque for the 2011 show is German automobiles. In addition to these European classics, this event will highlight over 30 juried classes of automobiles. Vintage auto aficionados and collectors are encouraged to compete against the best of the best for many other marques as well, including: British, Italian, German, Horseless Carriages, CCCA Classics, Woodies, Special Interest Cars, Vintage Motorcycles, and many others.
This spectacular event, along the picturesque oceanfront setting of La Jolla, raises essential funds for the La Jolla Historical Society and the Monarch School, providing education for children who might otherwise not be given the opportunity.
